Uses · Stash: Calculator Photo Vault

Everything Stash does, one feature at a time

Stash is a calculator photo vault for iPhone and iPad. Every item is encrypted on your device with AES-256, and Stash is zero-knowledge by design. Here is each function, how you use it, and the guide that covers it.

01 · Unlock

Calculator vault: type your PIN, then press =

Stash opens as a calculator that really calculates. Type your secret PIN and press = to open the vault; any other sum just shows its result. Where your iPhone or iPad offers Face ID or Touch ID, you can use it to unlock as well.

02 · Import and organize

Photo vault: import photos, videos and files

Tap + to import photos and videos from your gallery, or PDFs, documents and audio from Files. Importing makes a copy, so the original stays in Photos until you delete it there. Inside the vault, sort items into albums and keep private text in secure notes.

03 · Guest PINPremium

Decoy password: a guest PIN with its own vault

Set a second PIN in Settings. Typed on the calculator, it opens a separate guest vault that starts empty and holds only what you put there, while your main vault stays closed.

04 · Intruder logPremium

Intruder selfie: a log of wrong PIN attempts

Turn on the intruder log and Stash records every failed PIN attempt with its time. On a device with a front camera it also takes a photo, which is encrypted and kept in your vault.

05 · BackupPremium

Encrypted backup: iCloud Drive or Google Drive

When you start a backup, Stash uploads an encrypted copy of your vault to your own iCloud Drive or Google Drive; it never runs on its own. The recovery key Stash shows during setup opens the vault if you forget your PIN.

06 · Disguise

Disguise the app: calculator, step tracker or game

Stash looks like a calculator. With Premium you can give it the look of a step tracker or a puzzle game instead, and its Home Screen icon changes to match.

07 · Auto-lock

Auto-lock and quick switch: back to the calculator

Stash locks as soon as it goes to the background, so the next time it opens it shows the calculator. Inside the vault, the eye button at the top left switches straight back to the calculator.

Free to download. No ads.

Stash is free to download and shows no ads. The guest PIN, intruder log, cloud backup and the step-tracker and game looks need Premium: a subscription (the annual plan starts with a 7-day free trial) or a one-time lifetime purchase (59.99 in the German App Store; price varies by country). It runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 13 or later.
